MEN/MALE-IDENTIFYING

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS: We are recruiting US-based self-employed adult men to participate in the study, "Men’s entrepreneurship: Identity prototyping in new entrepreneurial careers," which aims to explore the professional identities of men who have transitioned into full-time self-employment within the past 3.5 years. We are inviting you to participate in an individual, 60-minute Zoom interview to share your experiences and perspectives.

Eligibility:

  1. Identify as a man (non-binary individuals can apply for either study)

  2. Be within their first 3.5 years of operating a business full-time or as their primary role (PT before/longer than that is fine)

  3. Be U.S.-based and 18+, and

  4. Have been a student, employee, or caretaker before becoming self-employed (i.e., not going from self-employment to self-employment immediately beforehand).

The purpose of the interview is to hear more about how self-employed men or men business owners experience transition from traditional employment to their new career. Participants will be compensated with a gift card following the interview.

To participate, confirm eligibility, or for more information, please contact Dr. Stephanie Raible (Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship, University of Delaware) at research.raible@gmail.com.
