Think+Act Tank: Coneeect, Acadeeemy, and now what's neeext?
Last week, I participated in the Think+Act Tank (fmr. Coneeect Network), hosted by the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) here in Munich. I had last been a part of the Coneeect Network's last meeting in Berlin back in September 2015, but this occasion had less participants, more of project-based approach, and a longer time frame. These elements led to some rich discussions, some professional and some personal. This network has some inspiring and helpful people within it, and as someone settling into the next stage of her career, the environment was a perfect opportunity to learn from the best. I am looking forward to continuing to be a part of the community and to give back to its wonderful initiatives to improve entrepreneurship education in Europe and beyond.
My project team focused on the preparation of university professors and lecturers who are seeking to teach entrepreneurial skills and mindsets in their classes. We had our moments of seeing different visions for the project, but we quickly came to consensus on how to move forward. The anticipated launch date of this "Teach the Teacher" style event is in early March 2017, so stay tuned for the team's announcement coming later in Fall 2016.
Overall, it was a great experience to get to know many of Europe's most dedicated entrepreneurship educators and advocates. Beyond the professional side, it was a very special occasion to pass some time with others within the same field because we all made some great personal connections and bonded over a common passion. I am looking forward to seeing--and being a part of-- what is coming next!
